Mumbai police arrests Chintan in Hema Upadhyay murder

Mumbai, Dec 22 : Artist Chintan Upadhyay was arrested by the Kandivali police early on Tuesday in connection with both the murders of his wife Hema Upadhyay and her lawyer Haresh Bhambhani.


The bodies of Hema and Bhambhani were found packed in cardboard cartons in a nullah at Kandivali West on December 11. Kandivali Crime Branch has been questioning Chintan since the murders but had not found any strong evidence against him so far.

Congress Leaders Sonia Rahul Gandhi may not seek bail in National Herald Case

New Delhi :Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi will appear before a Delhi court on December 19 in the National Herald case, but they may not apply for bail, sources said.


“We respect judicial process and we will submit ourselves to the majesty of the court process. The Congress President and the Vice President have complete faith in the judicial process.  They will be proceeding as per the advice by the lawyers", said party’s chief spokesman Randeep Surjewala.
