Here is a mail of why I am against aadhar compulsion in schools. I have send it to school as I was asked to give an explanation.
I have been asked to submit in writing why aadhar is not submitted for my children.
Here are the reasons.
a) I have not yet applied for it as its so far not mandatory id card by Indian law.
b) Aadhar is a private identity card and is not mandatory for child's education.
c) Herewith I have attached a response to RTI filled by a parent on September 2016 which clearly stated aadhar is not mandatory.
d) I, as a citizen of a democratic country is more concerned about people pushing ones ideas and policies in to other common people. I strongly believe schools do not even have a right to question a parent on why he or she has not applied for aadhar (a private id card) and explain a reason for it.
e) Aadhar, I believe by itself will be used as a tracking device by super elites to curb freedom and so am very much against how its being pushed on to individual citizens by the government.
I can understand that the schools are under pressure from education department for doing so. I have given a detailed explanation considering our good relationship with the school which we like a lot.
I will submit the document once I have taken the aadhar cards for my kids.
IMPORTANT ADVICE FROM A SUPREME COURT ADVOCATE:
*Advice from an Advocate :*
I Wanted to highlight a very important aspect. In ordinary course we keep issuing and submitting our *KYC documents* (proofs such as *AADHAR Card* , *PAN card*, *LICENCE* etc.) to various people.
For housing or car or other loans, bank accounts,or even for _buying new sim card_ we submit these documents.
At almost all these places they ask for self certification on these documents. We immediately sign those documents and hand over.
Just imagine your self certified copies are freely available in the hands of such persons & those documents can be used by him for EVERYTHING!
For eg: Your *AADHAR / PAN Card / BSNL Bill* gets into the hands of a *Terrorist, he can misuse it to buy a SIM in your name AND YOU MIGHT BE ARRESTED for having Terror links*
Its really serious and its been seen that in most of the terrorist activities, KYC documents are sourced from the SIM card sellers.
Hence, please inculcate a 'HABIT' of *writing the date and purpose for which you are submitting the self certified KYC Documents* so that those documents cannot be used again.
Please share this as much as possible Forwarded as I felt
Necessary to everyone.
*it's very important to write the date and purpose, which we never do while submitting KYC documents.*
*Here after sign as
4. and not to be used for other purpose.*
Plz dont ignore and pass this msg to as many people u can..
*Supreme court of india⚖*
55 years after the Supreme Court last decided that privacy is not a basic right for citizens, a nine-judge constitution bench will return to the question as it begins hearing today a case related to petitions challenging the Aadhaar scheme.
A five-judge bench including Chief Justice of India JS Khehar yesterday said, "It is essential to decide whether there is right to privacy under the Indian constitution. We are of the view it has to be decided by a 9-judge bench."
