Bhubaneswar, Oct 18: As many as 19 people have died and over 100 were left injured in a major fire broke
out at Bhubaneswar's Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital. The fire have started at the dialysis ward in the first floor and subsequently spread to the ICU and other nearby wards around 7 pm. DGP (fire services) Binoy Behera said, "We suspect the fire occurred due to an electric short circuit in the dialysis ward."
According to initial reports, 22 people were declared dead by privately-owned AMRI Hospital and government-owned Capital, where the patients are admitted after evacuation. Later Chief Secretary of Odisha, Aditya Padhi has confirmed that 19 people were killed during fire. All the patients have been evacuated and are being treated in other hospitals, with most patients admitted in AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

Washington, Sep 24: Four people has been fatally shot dead and unknown number of people were wounded on Friday in a shooting at a mall in northwest Washington state, with the suspect on the run, said the state police.
The shooting occurred at about 7:30 p.m local time, at Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington, which is about 65 miles north of Seattle, told Mark Francis, Washington State Patrol spokesman. Francis told that there was atleast one suspect in the shooting at the Mall in Burlington and described him as "Hispanic male wearing gray."

A speeding car hit a man on the highway in Telangana's Mahbubnagar and kept going for around 3 km with the body on its top before being caught by the locals and the police. The driver fled the scene in between the ruckus has been identified as Rajashree Reddy.

Amritsar, New Delhi : At least six children died and ten were injured after a school bus fell into a canal in Muhawa village near Amritsar in Punjab on Tuesday. The incident took place at 1 pm.
