Cash crunch: Department of Economic Affairs Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg told reporters that average monthly demand has more than doubled to Rs 40,000-45,000 crore from Rs 19,000-20,000 crore just a couple of months ago.
ATM cash crunch: Among the worst affected cities are Hyderabad, Bhopal, Surat, Varanasi and Delhi. The cash crunch issue first came to light in the south. ATMs have been running dry in parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
Coimbatore, Nov 6 : An ICICI Bank ATM card of a Coimbatore based resident has been hacked by some miscreants to loot an amount of Rs.14000 at Golden Nagar, Chennai yesterday.
According to the victim, he received a message on his registered mobile number that a sum of Rs.14000 has been debited from his ICICI bank account at around 7.30pm, Sunday.
