Sep 7: Australia hit the world scoring record in Twenty20 internationals with a score of 263 for 3 against Sri Lanka. Just by losing only three wickets, Australia broke a nine-year record of 260 for 6 held by Sri Lanka since 2007.
Opener Glenn Maxwell destroyed the Sri Lankan bowling attack and smashed nine sixes, 14 boundaries for his 145 not out from just 65 balls. Maxwell total score was the second highest individual score in T20 International match. Australia has set the record breaking T-20 total. Previously, the record had been set by Sri Lanka at 260 against Kenya.
