Sindhu and former China open winner Kidambi Srikanth. Both the players gave clinical performance in their respective singles events and enters the quarter-finals in Olympic Badminton competition.
Sindhu showed a dominant performance to beat Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu-ying in straight games 21-13, 21-15. While Srikanth defeated Jan Jorgensen of Denmark, 21-19, 21-19.
