New York, March 21 : An earthquake measuring 6.6 magnitude jolted 235 km West-southwest of Nikolskoye, Russia on Sunday, the US Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 65.0 km, was initially determined to be at 53.995 degrees north latitude and 162.995 degrees east longitude, Xinhua reported.

New Delhi, March 17 : The Supreme Court on Thursday asked the telecom regulator TRAI whether it would relook its decision imposing penalty on the telecom service providers for call drops in the wake of its own technical paper endorsing the position taken by them.
Asking the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India whether it still maintained position on penalty for the call drops or would consider re-examining it in the light of its own technical paper of November 2015, a bench of Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice Rohinton Fali Nariman told it to file an affidavit stating its position before next date of hearing (March 30).
New Delhi/Kolkata, March 16 : The Trinamool Congress on Wednesday found itself in more trouble over the sting operation allegedly showing several of its leaders taking 'bribes' with the matter being referred to the Lok Sabha's ethics panel while the Congress and the BJP moved the Calcutta High Court for a CBI probe.
