President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter on Thursday to extend their greetings on the auspicious festival of Diwali.
In his tweet, the President wrote, “Diwali greetings to all. As we celebrate with our families, let us promote sensitivity to others and to our environment “.
The US President Donald Trump celebrated his first Diwali at his official residence on Wednesday.
Trump and his daughter Ivanka were joined by senior Indian-American members of his administration, including US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and Administrator of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Seema Verma.
