The selectors preferred to give another opportunity to Yuvraj and Nehra, both of who had represented with distinction in the past.
The 33-year-old Yuvraj, who was the man-of-the-series in India's World Cup triumph in 2011, last represented the national team in the final of the 2014 World T20 in Bangladesh.
While Nehra, who is approaching his 37th birthday, last donned the India colours in the 2011 ODI World Cup.
