Maharashtra official lost his son after he was denied leave from work

A senior Maharastra official lost his son after he was denied leave from work by his superior. The official's son who is 23 years old, who was suffering from depression made several phone calls to his father to come home, which when failed his son committed suicide. The Maharashtra government has now ordered an inquiry into the matter.

Sources in the state Agriculture Department said on the afternoon of August 12, Mr Ghadge got a panic call from his son who said, unless his father came home to Navi Mumbai right away, he would end his life.
